Welcome to: All Nippon Airways
We’re all about options and bringing them to you. Particularly when we know it will make your journey more enjoyable and you will receive the most value for money.
Case in point: ANA or All Nippon Airways which offers competitively priced fares to Japan and Europe and is an excellent option, one you may not have considered in the past but should.
About:
ANA is big on culture and you see that throughout your journey no matter where you are seated. From the stealth service to sake service with meals, you know you are travelling with an airline that is big on creating a relaxing cabin space. We recently toured the very excellent Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner and here is what we found.
Economy
Flying economy with ANA is a step above the rest because of these touches:
- With a total of 146 seats in a 3-3-3 configuration, the seating is staggered so you are not directly across the aisle from anyone
- The seat reclines to a very generous 34-inch seat pitch - one of the most generous across all airlines.
- There is a universal power port and USB ports for every seat and footrests for all except the front rows
Premium Economy
If you want a step up, Premium Economy is for you:
- Premium Economy passengers are given access to the business class lounge
- There are only a total of 14 seats across two rows with a configuration of 2-3-2
- The seat has a 38-inch pitch with an inbuilt recliner and leg rest that can be toggled up or down
- Enjoy an 11-inch LCD touch screen monitor
Business
This is where ANA really shines:
- There are a total of 40 business class seats across 11 rows, with a staggered seating arrangement, meaning every seat has direct aisle access.
- The seat converts into a fully flat bed, with an mattress topper for extra comfort
- There’s a large side table with a personal reading light and an 18 inch LCD touch screen monitor
- Storage area underneath the ottoman, which is directly in front of the seat
- You get your choice of Japanese or Western meals and have access to a "light dishes anytime" menu, which you can order from after the main meal service
Other Highlights
- Some of the ANA Lounges feature automatic beer-pouring machines
- There is mood lighting that changes throughout the flight. Lighting simulates the light level outside the aircraft to allow your eyes to be adjusted to the outside lighting.
- They have done away with window shades - there is a button to control the dimmer on the glass instead. 3 settings from clear to opaque
